1- Moldova Fulbright Scholarship Program:

The Fulbright program helps students wanting to study in Moldova in different ways:

American students who are graduating from an American university can go to Moldova for one year. There, they will be able to join an English Teaching Assistantship program through which they will teach English in Moldovan educational institutions. 

Students, teachers, and researchers get a chance to go to a number of countries in the world (including Moldova) for the purpose of teaching and/or to carry out research in the fields of their choice.

Students studying in Moldovan universities can apply for a grant under the Fulbright program. The US government then bears their educational expenses and these fulbright Moldovan scholarship grants are given either on the basis of merit or financial need for the scholarship.

2- Scholarship by Wells Mountain Foundation:

The Wells Mountain Foundation is offering scholarships through their scholarship program of Empowerment Through Education (ETE). These wells mountain foundation scholarships are for those students who are pursuing a bachelor’s program in any one of the listed developing countries. The students can themselves be from a developing country or should be taking up a bachelor’s program in a developing country (including Moldova).

The fields of study which will be given preference are health, medical sciences, law, education, information technology, and social work. There are 50 to 60 scholarships available which are valued at 300 EUR to 3000 EUR. The students will get the scholarship throughout the course of their degree program. Usually, students get scholarships of 1500 EUR which are used toward paying for tuition, textbooks, meals, transportation, etc.

3- Scholarships by David L. Boren:

The David L. Boren Awards are given under the National Security Education program. These scholarships are for those US students who wish to undertake some part of their studies in a foreign country (including Moldova). Bachelor’s students who are studying in the fields of arts, business, law, language, science, culture, or agriculture can apply for these awards.

The purpose of these scholarships is to filter out potential talent in the USA. Chosen students get a chance to serve for the US National Security after completing their education. The fields within which the awardees will get to work are sustainability, disease protection, environmental security, population growth, famine, and migration. 

The recipients will get a fully-funded David Boren scholarship this year of study abroad. These awards are worth up to 30,000 USD per recipient and the term of scholarship can be 12 to 24 months whereas country of Moldova is among the list of affiliated countries.

4- Scholarships by the Moldovan Government:

Local and foreign students studying in Moldovan universities can apply for these scholarships. There has been an increase in the scholarship budget of 4.9%. The worth of the scholarship per recipient is 360 to 690 MDL. Students who are deaf and/or are from the fields of choreography or arts will be given preference. Students studying in the subject areas of agriculture, medicine, and health will be given a scholarship of 1325 MDL.

Students with extraordinary academic profiles and records will get scholarships of up to 1500 MDL and the amount that has been set aside for the scholarship budget is 12.5 million MDL.

5- Scholarships by American Council for International Education:

American Councils for International Education is offering scholarships under their Title VIII Combined Research and Language Training Program. Students, teachers, researchers, and post-doctoral candidates from the continents of Asia and Europe can come to Moldova for up to nine months and conduct research under this scholarship program. The recipients will get a two-way ticket to and from their home countries to Moldova, a monthly stipend, tuition fee waiver, accommodation, and health insurance.

6- Visegrad Scholarship Fund at University of Moldova

The International Visegrad Fund is offering Master’s and Post-Master’s scholarships to students/researchers who are citizens of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia). Students/researchers can apply for study/research at any accredited higher-education institution within V4 countries and also in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Ukraine (for up to 4 semesters).
