NASA invites online applications to recruit international interns for their NASA internship Program 2022 during the summer and winter seasons. You can apply for an internship at NASA without IELTS requirement.
NASA is an American civil space program which is providing opportunities for students to come and experience working with experts in space exploration. It provides opportunities for internship, fellowship, and scholarships in an attempt to enhance the nation’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths workforce which construes a STEM workforce.
The NASA internship includes either participation in research, experiential learning, or mentor-directed working at NASA. Intern applicants receive monetary awards on monthly basis (it is subject to change and the amount may vary).
What does NASA Internship Cover?
The interns at NASA are entitled to receive the following set of benefits:
- Hands-on experience of working at NASA
- A chance of employment
- Stipend or salary payment as per interns’ law
- Residence facility if working at remote locations
- Food allowance or availability
Internship opportunities each year open in four campuses of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centers:
- Goddard Institute For Space Studies, New York City
- UnderGreenbelt, Maryland
- Independent Verification and Validation Facility, Fairmont, West Virginia
- Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia
NASA Internships Eligibility Criteria
Following eligibility criteria should be met in order to apply for an internship:
- Citizenship of US, or specified partner country
- At least 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0
- High School Students with at least 16 years of age (current sophomore, junior or senior)
- Undergraduate or Graduate students pursuing Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Technology degrees (must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited US college or university)
NASA Internship Duration
NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement Intern opens the internship opportunities around the year during the following seasons:

The internship duration is at least 10 weeks (or more) requiring full-time availability which makes up 40 hours per week.
